Pointe Scientific, Inc. was founded in Detroit and incorporated in the State of Michigan in 1981. Pointe is a privately held company and has moved to larger quarters in 1984 (Detroit), in 1987 (Lincoln Park) and to our present 25,000 square foot, Canton, Michigan location in 2004.

The Township of Canton is a fast growing community located between the cities of Detroit on the east and Ann Arbor, home of the University of Michigan, on the west.

The Pointe building is within Research Park which is on the south side of Michigan Avenue just east of Beck Road. The area is serviced by Wayne County Metropolitan Airport (DTW) with fast and easy access to and from Pointe using nearby I-275 and I-94 expressways.

Our general chemistry reagent products are based on the latest available technologies and utilize the most up-to-date formulations. The tests can be performed manually on basic photometric instrumentation as well as on most large and small automated chemistry analyzer systems. Pointe offers all standards / calibrators needed to perform our assays as well as quality control / quality assurance materials to guarantee accurate performance.

Our instrument specific reagents feature reagents designed for the HITACHI and COBAS MIRA line of analyzers. In the very near future, we will be adding reagents specifically designed to be used on other popular chemistry systems.
